ZEF Association has taken significant steps to fortify its foundation through comprehensive capacity-building sessions and active participation in external training. Internal Capacity-Building: Cultivating Expertise
On November 4th, 2023, the ZEF Association conducted an internal session focused on child protection. This session was pivotal in providing participants with deeper insights into safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring their well-being within the community. The training emphasized the importance of creating a secure environment for children, one where their rights are protected, and their voices are heard.
Following this, on November 13th, 2023, the organization held another session on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPPSS) coupled with report writing. This session was instrumental in enhancing the participants’ abilities to effectively address the mental health needs of vulnerable individuals. The training also improved their report writing skills, ensuring that the documentation of their work is as impactful as their actions.
External Training: Expanding Horizons
Our commitment to continuous learning and improvement was further demonstrated by a participation in the three-day training from December 8th to 9th, 2023, organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). This training covered a range of critical topics, including community-based mental health and psychosocial support, sexual and reproductive health, basic counseling, and psychological first aid for frontline workers.
The knowledge and skills acquired from this training have significantly bolstered the organization’s capacity to provide vital support services to the community. It has empowered frontline workers with the tools necessary to respond to the complex needs of those they serve, particularly in times of crisis.
