Our Story
ZEF Foundation was born from love, compassion, and a commitment to continue a remarkable legacy.
The organization is named after Zotah Elizabeth Fossungu, the beloved mother of our founder, Mr. Nkengfac Louis.
She was widely known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others. She opened her heart and home to vulnerable people and became a source of hope to many in her community.
Inspired by her example, Mr. Nkengfac Louis founded ZEF Foundation to continue her legacy by educating, protecting, and empowering vulnerable populations.
Today, ZEF Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for social change across communities in Cameroon.

ZOTAH ELIZABETH FOSSUNGU ASSOCIATION, popularly known as ZEF Foundation, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of vulnerable populations through education, protection, empowerment, and community development.
Inspired by the compassion and selflessness of Madam Zotah Elizabeth Fossungu, our organization exists to create opportunities, restore hope, and empower communities to become resilient and self-reliant.
We collaborate with communities, institutions, government agencies, and development partners to implement sustainable solutions that address real social challenges.

Our Thematic Areas
At ZEF Foundation, we are committed to creating sustainable change through integrated programs that address the most pressing needs of vulnerable individuals and communities. Our interventions are guided by five core thematic areas that drive our mission of educating, protecting, and empowering for a better future.
Child Protection
We are dedicated to safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence while promoting their rights and well-being. Through awareness campaigns, psychosocial support, educational assistance, and child safeguarding initiatives, we strive to create safe and nurturing environments where every child can thrive.
Women Empowerment
We empower women and girls by providing access to skills training, entrepreneurship opportunities, leadership development, and financial literacy. Our goal is to help women become economically independent, socially empowered, and active contributors to the development of their families and communities.
Youth Empowerment
Young people are at the center of sustainable development. We equip youth with vocational skills, leadership training, entrepreneurship support, mentorship, and career guidance to enable them to become productive citizens and future leaders capable of driving positive change.
Community Development
We work alongside communities to design and implement sustainable solutions that improve living conditions and promote social inclusion. Our initiatives focus on education, sanitation and hygiene, environmental sustainability, livelihoods, and community participation to build resilient and self-reliant communities.
Healthcare Initiatives
We promote healthy communities through health education, disease prevention, mental health and psychosocial support, and community healthcare outreach. Our healthcare initiatives aim to improve access to essential health information and services, enabling individuals and families to live healthier and more productive lives.
